Ranginui's Retreat

Ranginui's Retreat is located on Ootu Beach, at the southern tip of the protruding finger on the main island of Aitutaki. This quiet part of Aitutaki, on a sandy dead-end road, is one of many popular picnic spots amongst locals with an excellent swimming beach and prime location for access to the offshore islands.

Known as the "Gateway to the Lagoon", Ootu Beach is Aitutaki's most spectacular tourist attraction. Day cruises to the tiny uninhabited islands and crystal clear lagoon provide a great opportunity for swimming, kayaking and snorkelling, and depart right from our doorstep.

All units and bungalows have decking overlooking the lagoon. All are right on the waterfront, where you can watch magnificent sunsets, jumping fish, or just hop in for a swim on our own beach.

Ranginui's also provides tour and local event information, and arranges day cruises, island tours, scuba diving, deep sea fishing, dining out, island night dances and transfers.

With several restaurants within a few minutes walk, and hire vehicles readily available, here is everything you need to have the sort of holiday you want.
